MENC’s Music Education Week has now come to a close. The conference was a blast. It was very educational and was awesome to get to meet
some of the people I’ve been talking to on Twitter, and others that I met for the first time. In addition to our Cover-it-Live blog, the live-blog team (Team Twitpiccable) will be writing some session recaps spanning the sessions, interviews and performances we experienced at Music Education Week. The posts will be added to both MusicEdMajor.Net, and http://musiced.pressible.org. Be sure to check them out!
This Thursday June 24th, marks the first day of MENC’s 2010 Music Education Week. This event gives participants an opportunity to attend a wide variety of academies, offering many sessions that would be useful to both future music educators and educators in the field.
MENC’s Music Education Week offers many academies that would be of interest to everybody. These academies include choral, Collegiate MENC Leadership and New Teachers’ academy, General Music Technology, Instrumental, Jazz, Marching Music, and National Association of College Wind and Percussion Instructors (NACWPI). All of these academies offer great sessions that will teachers and future music educators to hone their skills. (more…)
